About
Now in its third decade, the
New Directions in Critical Theory Graduate Conference
at the University of Arizona is an integral part in preparing graduate students
for future careers as academics. By taking a student-led, student-centered approach,
the conference gives opportunities for burgeoning scholars to look into the machinery
of one of the academic world's major linchpins--the conference.
Its interdisciplinary nature allows for the free moment of ideas into and out from the English department, fostering critical engagement and scholarly curiosity in graduate students.
This annual conference also brings in student scholars from across the country, allowing students to connect with their peers
in the scholarly conversations happening at large.
Finally, our commitment to bringing in top caliber keynote speakers
allows students to engage with some of the most dynamic contemporary thought.
